Jewelpet (franchise)

Jewelpet (Japanese: ジュエルペット) is a franchise jointly owned by Sanrio and Sega Sammy Holdings, which was launched on January 15th 2008.[1]. The franchise features animals known as Jewelpets; some of which are named after jewels, birthstones and minerals.

In animation[edit]

The Jewelpet franchise has received three series of anime, known as Jewelpet (which started in April 2009), Lady Jewelpet and Jewelpet: Magical Change (which both started in April 2014).

The franchise has received a movie known as Jewelpet the Movie: Sweets Dance Princess on August 11 2012, which was released with a short film called Onegai My Melody: Yū & Ai.
